        Source nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adri_Verhoeven:
Adrianus Cornelis (Adri) Verhoeven (Berkel-Enschot, 1952) is a Dutch sculptor.
Verhoeven was educated at the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch (1969-1975) with David van de Kop and Cornelius Rogge. In 1976 he opened his own studio. He initially wanted to be a painter, but became fascinated by stone. He makes sculptures with different types of stone, in which he seeks contrast by combining unworked or hardly worked stones with stones that he has roughly chopped or that he allows to shine through polishing. He made a number of semi-permanent sculpture routes, consisting of various stone formations, including for Venlo and Ede.
