The Crezzo lake, located in the homonymous basin, is a small humid environment that is still well preserved, in a very suggestive landscape, surrounded by green mountains, with a spectacular view of the imposing Grigne massif and Lake Como below.
This body of water, of intermoraine origin, is inserted in a blanket of material deposited by the glacier coming from the Lecco branch during its last retreat. It has an average surface of about 10,600 m2 and a maximum depth between 1.60 and 2.50m; however, these data are extremely variable in relation to rainfall. Like all lakes of limited dimensions and depth, that of Crezzo is gradually evolving towards a progressive swamping, which will determine the disappearance of the basin with the formation of peaty meadows.
