The Hessen barracks are barracks for the German Armed Forces in Stadtallendorf near Marburg in Hesse, covering a total area of around 30 hectares Marine had produced Hexyl for ammunition manufacture during World War II. The barracks were handed over in 1959 and mainly housed armored units until 2003.

As a child, I always looked forward to the open house.

Former location of the Leopard II tanks in the Hessen barracks. Today the location of Hesse's paratroopers. A hiking route through the forests of Hesse that has been popular for many decades and includes an old car wash for tanks and, for example, a tank hill over which tanks used to practice climbing up to 40°. Old buildings can be seen today as Lost Place.
