Story:
The former Niederungsburg and medieval Weiherhausanlage was built in the 12th century. It was then owned by the Steward of Heilsberg and the lords of Eggmühl. Around 1333 she was in the possession of the Truchsess Ulrich the Leublfinger. Around 1432, the construction of a kennel. From 1475, this was the nursing court of the Dukes of Bavaria. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the lap was structurally altered. In the 17th century, the store was built with a half-whale roof. In 1812 the castle came into the possession of the Count of Montgelas, in 1834 to the princes of Thurn and Taxis. In the 20th century, the conversion to the old people's home and the extension of the north wing. Today, the castle is used as a BRK retirement home.
