Hiking

The Church of Sant Pere in Besalú is another Romanesque church in the city of Besalú in Catalonia. It was built in the 10th century and enlarged in the 12th century.
The church has a rectangular plan with a bell tower and a portal with a relief depicting the Crucifixion. The interior of the church is sober and elegant with a cloister and an altar containing a beautiful Gothic sculpture of Saint Peter.

Hiking

Not far from Plaça Llibertat is the old church of Sant Pere from the 12th century. The church belonged to an even older monastery, of which, however, there are no longer any ruins. On the Prat de Sant Pere, the forecourt of the church, there is a small museum showing miniatures. Also worth seeing is the Romanesque Casa de Cornellà, also built in the 12th century.
