Château Pape Clément is the oldest wine estate in Bordeaux, having harvested its 715th vintage in 2021. The winery and vineyards are located in the commune of Pessac, south-west of the city of Bordeaux. It grows a Bordeaux wine from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, ranked among the Crus Classés for red wine in the Classification of Graves wine of 1959. It is open to visitors, rents 5 luxurious guest rooms, and has some fancy banquet halls for large events as well chateau-pape-clement.fr . The owners are quite friendly and approachable. Don't miss the well-manicured park with ancient trees behind the chateau.
