Viñales is a city in western Cuba. Its main street is lined with colorful colonial-era wooden houses. One of them now houses the city museum, which deals with the history of the region. Orchids and palm trees fill the Casa de Caridad botanical gardens. Viñales is the starting point for trips to the Sierra de los Organos and the Valle de Viñales. The limestone cones in the Viñales Valley, known as mogotes, attract climbers.
