Poggioreale was destroyed by the earthquake of 15 January 1968. The town still bears the wounds, indeed, the mutilations, of that earthquake. Once the old inhabited center was destroyed, the city was rebuilt nearby. Large streets, modern urban planning, metropolitan service centers. Only that almost no one lives here anymore. There were 4,000 inhabitants in 1968. There are just 1,500 today. From here, you flee. Favorite destination: Australia.
