The 234 m high mountain in the middle of the Main loop is known as the Kingdom of Heaven. In a figurative sense, the name is also used for the entire loop of the Main, which is surrounded by the river for over 7 km. At its narrowest point, the land mass is only about 400 m wide. Geologically, the narrow ridge still belongs to the Buntsandstein-Spessart, while the shell limestone regions of the Franconian plate begin on the other side of the Main.
