The Alvor Parish Church is the symbol of the Manueline style in the Algarve. Built in the 1620s, the Alvor Parish Church has the most beautiful Manueline portico in the region, decorated with motifs alluding to fauna and flora, war scenes and religious symbols. Inside, the 18th century tiles stand out, as well as the rich images present on the six gilded altars. Here you can also find the famous and miraculous image of the “Lord Jesus”, which according to legend washed ashore and was placed on the altar by the fishermen of Alvor.

From 1 October to 30 April, from 8:30 am to 9:30 pm.

From 1 May to 30 September, from 8:30 am to 10 pm
