Surrounded by vineyards and at the foothills of the Dunkelsteiner Forest, Furth near Göttweig lies. This tranquil little town is the gateway to the Wachau UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its magnificent Benedictine monastery, which proudly stands on a hilltop above Furth, and numerous hiking opportunities. On the western edge of town, you'll find the Zellergraben natural monument, a sunken road with loess walls up to twelve meters high.

Especially exciting for hikers: The famous Way of St. James to Santiago de Compostela runs through Furth.
