Shelter with fire pit near Sieber

The big hut is getting a bit old.

If you want to sizzle over the fire for lunch, you will find here an official fire pit with rain shelter and various seating areas!

Official fireplace does not mean that you can easily make a fire there.
In general, smoking and lighting fires in the forest between February 15 and October 31 is prohibited. The fire pits must be rented from the Harz Club or the administrator. Sometimes it is even forbidden to fetch firewood from the forest. The same applies to barbecue areas. Kött with a fireplace almost always has a chimney and a spark arrester in the hut (metal pipe with a metal tub) as a vent.
There is no such device in this hut. In addition, the smoke in the kettle is up to 1 meter from the ground. That means that you can only sit there.
