The Aartalsee is a beautiful destination that can be reached from Dreihausen via several routes. You can drive via Fronhausen and struggle up the mountain to Oberwalgern or drive comfortably in the valley via salt floors and the Schmelzmühle. Both tours come together again at Reimershausen. The first time I drove via Kirchvers, Frankenbach and Erda, the second time via Rollshausen, Rodenhausen and Oberweidbach. Each time drove a lap around the lake, the second time also around the lower part near Mudersbach. Then back via Mudersbach, Erda, Frankenbach and Kirchvers, partly through beautiful forest stretches, partly along quiet side roads.
