From 1975 von Woyski was the artistic director of the Hoyerswerda Sculpture Symposia, at which international artists in Hoyerswerda created sculptures mainly from sandstone. Von Woyski lived in Hoyerswerda for 45 years from 1955, becoming an honorary citizen in 1998.
