Lake Flaine is a superb glacial lake, located at an altitude of 1,416 meters. Its size varies with the seasons. In June, when the snow melts, it becomes the largest mountain lake in Haute-Savoie!

In itself a beautiful idyllic lake.
However, in midsummer/August when we visited it was very low and super muddy. We had hoped to be able to cool off from the heat here, but this was not possible. Also regularly flown over by planes, which echoes strongly in the valley and disturbs the natural idyll.
