Historic building ensemble in the area of the replacement shaft 04 including the machine house, old mine management and district house of the Saalfeld-Kamsdorf mining district.After centuries of copper and silver mining, iron ore mining, which began at the beginning of the 18th century, gained in importance in the 19th century and resulted in the establishment of the "Vereinigte Reviere Kamsdorf" union and, subsequently, in the founding of the Maxhütte Unterwellenborn as a branch of the Maximilianshütte in Sulzbach- Rosenberg.
