From the Cellagrande website:
"Among the rolling Canavese hills, cultivated with vineyards facing Lake Viverone, stands Cella Grande. An ancient Benedictine monastery, whose now deconsecrated church includes a stone bell tower and a chapel of Romanesque origin, built between the 11th and 12th centuries. Here the monks who lived there used to dedicate themselves to viticulture and the production of wine from an ancient and native white grape variety called "Albalux" still grown today after centuries with the name of Erbaluce."I would add that the foresight of this family has brought this Monastery back to life, in the best possible way.
