A natural paradise for numerous animal and plant species has been developing from the former commercial forest and arable land since 2003 under the care of NABU. When the bird species occurring in the area were recorded in the spring of 2016, numerous breeding birds were found, including great spotted woodpecker, starling, stock dove, goldenhammer, marsh warbler and reed warbler, black warbler, garden warbler, black warbler and mute swan as well as two breeding pairs of the rare nine-killer.Source: Nabu (nabu-sulingen.de/projekte/auenlandschaft-urloge/)

At the information board there is a short footpath that leads to a slightly higher vantage point (the quality of the path is more of a beaten track). There is a small bench at the top, from which you can have a nice look over the original boxes.
