The Friedrich-Karl-Sprudel has long been recognized by the state as a source of healing. His medicinal water was used in spa houses for spa treatments for a long time in earlier years. The statue dominating the drinking fountain temple at the Kurhaus - a woman who gazes into the distance while shedding her eyes with her left hand - is the work of the Italian sculptor Giovanni Battista Lombardi from 1868.
