    Hiking

The church of San Pietro Martire was built in 1445 and is dedicated to Saint Peter the Martyr, with the adjoining monastery of the Dominican monks, as the historical archive of Vigevano attests, it was consecrated in 1480.

In the purely Gothic style with the bell tower with an octagonal base, it has an imperfect Latin cross plan with polystyle columns that ends with a high polygonal choir with a crypt below, which is accessed through two entrances on the sides of the raised presbytery. The body of Blessed Matteo Carreri, patron saint of Vigevano, is kept in the crypt.
