It is a river that in Pamphylia in what is now southern Turkey, coming from the Taurus Mountains, flows past ancient Aspendos to the Mediterranean Sea.
The Eurymedon Bridge, preserved from the Middle Ages, crosses the river near Aspendos. About 42 km upstream on the way to Selge, a Roman stone arch bridge, which is still being used, crosses the river at a height of 30 to 35 m, depending on the water level.
