Gottscheer Memorial
The Gottscheer Memorial was built in 1967 in Graz-Mariatrost. In a large exhibition area on the first and second basement floors of the church, the 650-year history of the German-speaking island in what is now Slovenia is presented. Gottscheer costumes, home work, a Gottscheer farmhouse parlor, literature and pictures impressively document the cultural identity of this ethnic group that still lives in close solidarity today.
