Memorial in the Hohenzollern Park, erected in 1928 to commemorate the soldiers from Halver who died in the war.The Hohenzollern Park was used from 1923 to 1870 as a burial place for the Protestant community in place of the earlier cemetery around the church. In 1910 the parish sold it to the Halver parish on the condition that it should never be built on but only used as a park. This is also entered in the land register.
In 1911 the cemetery was leveled and turned into a park. The name Hohenzollern Park was chosen with the intention of erecting an imperial monument on it. Instead, the memorial has been placed in the middle of the park, which commemorates the Halverans who died in the world wars.Source and more: halver.de/2014/freizeit_tourismus/_tourismus/historischer_stadtrundgang/117250100000019034.php
