The pile structure typical of Gruissan-Plage is located at the entrance to the village, directly after the dam leading there.

It is reminiscent of the film "Betty Blue - 37.2 degrees in the morning" from 1986, which mainly used the Gruissan Plage as a backdrop.

The film can be viewed for free at „Archive.org“. It‘s the extended version with very limited English subtitles. Note: it‘s very erotic and would probably no longer be shown in this version on many TV or streaming channels.
It is, however, definitely worth watching. The best part is the start in Gruissan and especially the supporting cast there.
It‘s a typical French milieu film of the epoch.
(I added the same photo because the colours are more vibrant and show the house at it’s best.)
