Sage from the Schneckenhauser Weiher:
Two very rich farmers once lived here between the woods.
One was called by the snail, the other by the house.
They lived in abundance and gave nothing to the poor.
They skittles with pieces of butter and washed with milk.
One day a terrible thunderstorm broke in
so that one could believe the world was going to end.
The rain fell from the sky like a torrent.
The next morning was from the two farms
nothing to see anymore.
After that, the resulting pond was called "Schneckenhauser See".
