516 Arouca is a pedestrian bridge in Arouca, northern Portugal, constructed as a suspension bridge. With a length of 516 m, it replaces the 494 m long Charles Kuonen suspension bridge (Valais, Switzerland) as the pedestrian bridge with the longest span in the world. It crosses the gorge of the Paiva River at a height of 175 m. Depending on the source, it is also considered the second longest pedestrian bridge in the world after the Baglung Parbat rope bridge in Nepal. Admission is affordable & worth it 👍🏽 the large wooden footbridge is included in admission and takes up to 2.5 hours depending on your condition
