Yes, friends of Giving Everything, Los Pinares de Villamalur, what an ambush we bring you today, a climb where the purest climbers can show off in style in an incomparable setting. It is a port clearly divided into two parts, the first 2.9 km, very hard, and the later 2.5, affordable in the form of saw teeth. Do not be fooled by the total figures lowered by the second half, it is a devastating port.

The ascent begins in the magnificent town of Villamalur, located in a fantastic enclave of the Sierra Espadán. However, before starting, you have to leave the urban area and go down to the recreational area, take the road towards Pavías and here ... hell begins. The first ramps already warn, we immediately reached 12% and we will practically remain in double digits throughout this first half, with continuous ramps of up to 15% and entire sections at 14%. The asphalt is very good, and the first area is wooded, with a lot of humidity, fantastic ...

We gain altitude very quickly, but we do not realize it because of the lushness of the place ... yes, a Garmin 705 registers several peaks of 18%, 19% and even 20% ... it costs horrors to pedal, if you do not have the proper development you are lost. You feel that you are not moving forward and between horseshoe and horseshoe there are no breaks, it is time to clench your teeth.

But hey, everything in this life ends and with a lot of suffering and at the pace of a little that PK 2.9 is reached and like you crown ... the most surprising of all is that when you crown you arrive at a plateau, something very rare in Espadán. For more than 2 km we will "flatten" at more than 800 meters above sea level ... here we have already left the wooded area, so we begin to realize the height gained, the views reach infinity ... and beyond.

Here you can enjoy the bike to the fullest, meandering in an easy climb down, you wish that this section never ends, although the last 500 meters are also very hard ... finally we crown at almost 900 meters above sea level, the top is not a beautiful place nor is it indicated, but it is a peak and you have to take photos.
