Best Hikes to Skrzyczne Peak (1257 m)

Tips

  • Skrzyczne (1257 m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Silesian Beskids, known for its excellent conditions for hiking and skiing. You can reach the summit on foot from Szczyrk along the green or blue trail, or you can use the cable car. The summit offers views of the Żywiec Beskids, the Little Fatra, and in good weather even the Tatras. There is a PTTK shelter at the top, where you can rest and eat a warm meal.

  • Skrzyczne is the highest peak of the Silesian Beskids. If you look at the map, you will find it in the north-eastern part of the massif, in the side arm of the Barania Góra range, in the Beskid Śląski Landscape Park. It rises above the town of Szczyrk to a height of 1,257 m above sea level. and proudly represents his ancestry in the arena of the Crown of Polish Mountains. Due to its characteristic silhouette and the RTV transmitter mast at the top.

Most often, we climb Skrzyczne straight from the town of Szczyrk. All thanks to two trails (green and blue).

    Trails to Skrzyczne from Szczyrk:
    1. blue trail to Skrzyczne through Hala Jaworzyna (along the ski lift): distance: 5 km, elevation gain: 751 m, time up: 2h 30 min, descent: 1h 15 min
    2. green trail to Skrzyczne through the Becyrek Pass: distance: 5.1 km, elevation gain: 763 m, time up: 2h 37 min, descent: 1h 22 min

Trails to Skrzyczne from Lipowo, Ostra:

    1. blue trail through Równia: distance: 4.2 km, elevation gain: 737 m, time up: 2h 15 min, descent: 1h 05 min
    2. yellow trail through Malinowska Skała and Małe Skrzyczne: distance: 11.5 km, elevation gain: 819 m, time up: 4h 15 min, descent: 3h - I especially recommend it, nice views on Malinowska Skała
