Natural Monument Tree

How does a tree actually become a natural monument?Many of the natural monuments are trees, which, through their shape, give the environment a distinctive and distinctive character. The natural history or cultural aspect is typical for natural monuments. Trees have stood the test of time at churches, crossroads, municipal boundaries or squares and today, as natural monuments, bear witness to special places or special occasions. They are also witnesses of historical forms of use, such as the earlier pruning of trees or the forest pasture, which led to particularly sprawling trees.Unfortunately, I can't say what the purpose of this tree is, I don't know enough about the history of this area, but it's nice to protect and care for such old trees. It is definitely worth taking a look and maybe someone will find out why this tree was protected.
