The pilot of the MiG-21 bis aircraft, Lt. pil. Andrzej Seroka performed on November 16, 1990. flight to intercept an air target at night in the clouds. While vigorously performing the recovery maneuver, he distracted his attention and lost his spatial orientation. The plane went into a steep spiral and collided with the ground. The pilot did not use the automatic pilot to lead the machine out of the complicated position, nor did he attempt to lower the plane with the ejection seat (source: Polish Military Aviation 1945-2010; Bellona 2011; ISBN 9788311121409)
