Road cycling
The Wilmkebreek canal was formed when a dike breached. It was later reclaimed and is now a small piece of pastureland among the buildings in Amsterdam Noord. There are usually a few cows and sheep grazing there as well.
The road along this side of the canal is more pleasant to drive than the other side, so my tip is to include this highlight in your route.
