There is also a museum at/in the town hall.

      Worthwhile.

Zandvoort Town Hall is one of the most striking buildings in the city. It was built in 1912 and is located in the heart of Zandvoort overlooking the Radhuisplein and was declared a national monument in 2001.

Before the building was constructed, the city's administration was located in two other locations:

        1. In the Hotel Driehuizen at the end of the Kerkstraat where rooms were rented

        2. A town hall that was built in 1873 at Kerkstraat 19

In 1909, the city decided that it was high time to move to a larger building and commissioned the architect Joh. Jansen to design a new town hall. Construction began betweenHaltstraat and Kleine Krocht, opposite the post office and near the end of the tram line.

The cornerstone was laid in 1911 and Mayor Beeckman officially opened the new city hall building on September 3, 1912.
