Background to the hare monument on the Stetten-Boll district border:

It is said that a long time ago, during a hunt by hunters from Stetten and Bollem, only one hare was shot during the entire hunt. There was a lot of dispute between the two neighboring villages about ownership of the hare. The hare was lying exactly on the district border and no one knew whether it belonged to "rom" or "nom", i.e. to Stetten or Boll.

That is why a neutral body measured the district border and determined: "We didn't think it was great, the hate was in Stetten, the wedel in Boll".

This is where the name for the Bollemers "Hasawedel" comes from.

The monument:

A rabbit forged by Oswald Kleinmaier on a granite block. The special thing about the monument is the anchoring of the rabbit on the granite block. In fact, only the rabbit tail is on Bollemer, the rest of the forged rabbit is on Stettener. Of course, everything was precisely measured for this purpose and the rabbit monument was ultimately put on the list of small monuments in the Zollernalb district. The tail seems to be quite popular, because in February 2020 it was simply cut away and taken away by unknown persons. It has been missing since then.
