Pielenhofen is a small place on the Naab, which is known for the monastery of the same name with the former boarding school of the Regensburger Domspatzen. While the Domspatzen school was relocated to Regensburg in 2013, a secondary school and a technical college moved into the monastery. Until then, an eventful history had been written in the venerable monastery, consecrated in 1240: it was closed twice over the past centuries, changed hands several times and, among other things, was also an institute for higher daughters.
