The Andrea-Hilse-Park is a landscaped park that the Hilse couple created in memory of their deceased daughter in an approximately 15-acre, former sand quarry area in the south of Burgstemmen. It is open all year round and is a place of rest and relaxation for all citizens of the village. Through the whole area lead walks, u.a. past numerous trees planted and signposted as part of the "Tree of the Year" campaign. On benches by a lake you can settle down and enjoy peace and nature.Source Kulturatlas

To commemorate Andrea Hilse, who died much too early, this park was created by the parents. In the 70th year, a gravel pit, then the Ponderosa became a kind of youth club.
