Tips
Salt from Transylvanian mines was transported on the east-west Sóút. The cargo was first floated on the Tisza rafts to Tiszafüred, then from the unloading station there it was transported in carts to the east - including Debrecen - this very valuable mineral. Before the construction of today's road 33, as its predecessor, it was part of one of the main roads between Budapest and Debrecen. Its two sides are accompanied by a row of trees, which consists of wood species, mostly acacia, introduced into the Hortobágy area. These rows of trees are the only rare but characteristic nesting bird species, such as. barn owl, little woodpecker, blue tern offer a nesting place.
