The single-nave church, to which the cemetery is attached, is located at the entrance to Weinsheim from the direction of Prüm. It is a plastered quarry stone building with a three-sided closed choir and a two-story tower on the west side. The portal is on the north side of the tower. The lower floor of the tower has a cross vault without ribs and opens up to the nave in a rounded arch. The nave and the end of the choir are also cross-vaulted with strong belts, ridges and pilasters. The keystone in the choir indicates the year the present church was built with 1706. The sacristy is attached to the choir to the east. Several times during the following centuries the church was severely damaged by natural disasters and, most recently, by the effects of war, but it was rebuilt again and again thanks to the initiative of the village population.
