In the southwest of Carinthia, families prefer to cycle along the "R3" Gailtal cycle path. This approximately 90 km long bike ride runs parallel to the Italian border and is clearly marked with green signs and white ground markings. Children and parents ride along the Gail, cycle through small villages and past old farms. The wildly romantic Gailtal cycle path impresses with the surrounding mountains of the Carnic and Gailtal Alps.
