Through the Anklam Moor there is a path marked with a blue dot marking, which is not always easy to find here. Five stations, each with its own information board, line the path. Accompanied by numerous butterflies and dragonflies (Admiral, EnzianBläuling and Greater Caterpillar are native here), it is initially straight through open moorland and riparian areas. At the second station, there are interesting facts about the history and a great view of a peat bog from the 19th century spared Hochmoorstück. It was shielded from the rest of the area to protect the specialized bog flora from nutrient inputs. Here there is the possibility of an additional loop around the "Knechtsort", which extends the tour by three kilometers.

The Anklam Stadtbruch lies between Anklam and Stettiner Haff in the northeast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Due to its size and impassability, the moor landscape is one of the few real wilderness areas that Germany still has to offer. On almost 15 square kilometers, white-tailed eagles, cranes, reversible necks, dwarf flycatchers, carminings and spotted mullets live almost completely undisturbed by humans. Beavers, otters, moor frogs and the highest density of sea eagles in Germany are at home here. The NABU Foundation for National Natural Heritage is committed to the preservation of the Anklam urban break and will take care of a large part of the nature reserve.

Fantastically beautiful landscape🥰. Unfortunately it has rained a lot the last few days and the path was partly under water. Therefore, rubber boots up to the knee are recommended in bad weather.
