Not far from Kattavia there is a special kind of industrial monument, the old silk factory. This anticipated part of the settlement policy and industrialization of the island by the Italian occupiers at the time. Today one can only guess the former work structure in the dilapidated and overgrown building. Nevertheless, the visit is worthwhile for those interested. The area, which has been abandoned to decay, can be explored with a bit of caution and is ideal for more unusual "vacation photos".
