Lübberstedt Windmill

With the windmill on the mountain, the "Griesen Grauen", Lübberstedt has a sight that is a landmark and, together with the mill barn, a center of the village. It is a "transit Dutchman" because it stands on a massive earth and stone hill, which is provided with a passage that is rare in our area, so that grain and flour can be transported dry between the wagon and grinder.
It is the event space of the mill association, but is also used by other associations and private individuals. Today the windmill presents itself in fully functional condition and is filled with life again: guided tours of the mill are carried out for interested visitors and foams, the mill association regularly takes part in the Germany-wide mill day on Whit Monday, runs a small but fine Christmas market, participates in the Concerts of the “Garden Culture Music Festival” and the “creARTour”, where artists from the velvet community exhibit their works.
