Mountaineering
As of August 2022, the trail across the glacier was unmarked but not critical. In my opinion, a mountain guide is not necessary as long as you stick to the path marked on the map. Climbing gear or crampons are absolutely necessary because of the bare ice. You should keep a little distance from the steep wall on the left (east) side because of the danger of falling rocks. A lot of debris on the glacier shows that stones often come down here.

From the eternal ice of the glacier you have a great view of the surrounding, rugged peaks. Although the trail is marked with poles in the summer, it is best to only enter the glacier with an experienced guide.
