The Lodi bridge or Napoleon Bonaparte Bridge is made up of eight masonry arches built in 1864. It was supposed to replace the ancient wooden bridge, destroyed by fire in 1859. The bridge was dedicated to Bonaparte because on 10 May 1796 Napoleon fought there against the Austrian army, in what remained in history as the battle of the Lodi bridge.
