An ordinary staircase has been transformed into a work of art and a new landmark for the town of Sønderborg. The artist Kristian Vodder Svensson transformed the gray staircase into a natural landscape in just nine days and with the use of a lot of color - but only when you stand at the bottom of the stairs and look up, you cannot see the decoration of the stairs from above 53 levels.

The stairs can be seen from the "Butt im Griff" on the harbor promenade. The staircase was painted in 2017.

Standing in front of the stairs gives a great shot of the painted steps.
