Presumably a simple wooden church stood here at first. The Romanesque stone church dates from the 13th century. The church has been rebuilt and renovated several times over the centuries. The baptismal font is from the second half of the 13th century and the rococo pulpit from 1770. The rune stone from the second half of the 11th century indicates an early Christianization.
