What I amicably call "the Trullo of Verolavecchia" is actually the Scorzarolo Ice House, a singular brick building with a circular plan with an ogee roof and a depth of about four meters below the ground. In the winter it was filled with snow and was used to store food in the summer, but it cannot be ruled out that it also had a public health service function.
