The monastery is a former feudal castle (Château d'Oultremont) of several centuries (fourteenth and essentially sixteenth century), restored in 1632, 1754 and 1903, then transformed into a priory in 1936 and bought by the nuns in 1942. It was occupied until 2020 by Benedictine nuns. Rectangular towers flank this building which has retained, internally, part of its decorative heritage.
