A very beautiful church with wonderful stucco work. Guided tours are held by volunteers through parts of the old monastery, here you can admire more stucco work and learn a lot of interesting things about the monastery, its history and the Wessobrunn stucco. The guided tours are usually indicated by a sign on the church.

This monastery, the oldest in Pfaffenwinkel, is a Benedictine foundation dating from 753; The foundation is said to have been done by Duke Tassilo III. The Tassilolinde, which is part of the founding history, is located in close proximity to the monastery. Until 2012, the monastery was inhabited by Benedictine sisters. Since 2014, it has been owned by Martina Gebhardt for her natural cosmetics company. The monastery is a stage destination on a whole range of long-distance trails.
