The Portway (or Port Way) is an ancient road that once ran between Calleva Atrebatum (Silchester, in modern-day Hampshire) and Sorbiodunum (Old Sarum, Wiltshire). Though often credited to the Romans, the original route may have pre-dated Roman occupation.

Nice track that goes from Palestine to outside Salisbury.
Has many routes you can take off from the track to get to the likes of Boscombe Down/Amesbury etc.
Rides nice all year round.
Fantastic sunset to be seen along here to once out of the trees and into the fields.
Great spot of you like trains too.
