There is a monument halfway along the wadden dike. This monument is a tribute to Ede Staal. With his beautiful music he contributed to the Groningen language and culture. The stainless steel band that winds around the monument contains the lyrics of the first verse of 'Credo - Mien bestoan', one of Ede Staal's beautiful songs.
